Research Log Entry 3

1. What was discussed today in class?
Answer: Today in class we compared news sources from different web sites.
2. What points were particularly important to you and why?
Answer: I think that the point that was particularly important to me was that "everything is market driven." All the web sites show us what we want to see. And that one site differs from another site depending on political affiliation.
3. What change will you make in your approach to research?
Answer: The changes I will make in my aproach to research is that I will try to be more curious and persistant while researching on my topic.
4. What other ideas and thoughts do you have about researching the authority of a source, whether it's news, a web site, or some other information source?
Answer: By recognizing if the information is a fact, data, opinion or whether is it subjective or objective.
5. What other ideas and thoughts do you have about topic development?
Answer: To identify important concepts, subjects and key words. And also to select appropriate types of information resources.

Good answers. I particularly like your focus on determining what type of information you're reviewing. Both data and opinion are important information qualities, but only if you know what you're dealing with.
